Fri. April 29, 2011      8:30 am – 3:30 pm         Riparian Buffer Workshop:

PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) in partnership with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) will be conducting their annual Plants for Riparian Buffers Workshop. The workshop is free and open to all citizens and topics include an overview of riparian buffers, native plants, invasive plants, control of invasive plants, building better riparian buffers, and plant identification. This will be the tenth annual workshop and will be hosted by DCNR at the Raccoon Creek State Park Wildflower Reserve in Beaver County. The Raccoon Creek Watershed Association also participates in the workshop. The DEP is represented by Everald McDonald (DEP Bureau of Watershed Management), Annette Paluh (DEP Environmental Cleanup Program) and Greg Holesh (DEP Bureau of Watershed Management).
